Eh
So i gave up trying to figure out what week of anything I was writing from.
The number one thing most people from the "Work world" (and life in general, since most adults think "life begins in the real world" bullshit.)
Get a life, seriously.
No matter what stage of life anyone is in, one of the most important factors to happiness is the feeling of appreciation. Whether that comes from school, a team, your family, or work, it is one of the single best motivators.
At one job, I was underpaid for what I did for that company. Not only did I make them more money than imaginable, retained customers while earning new customers, and for the return on investment, I was practically free. All i wanted was a sign of appreciation, at the very least, "personal motivation" and not some reward motivation bullshit. From a team standpoint, we won nearly each weekly, monthly, quarterly, semi annual, and yearly contests. From our hard work, only our store manager, who by the way did nothing towards the recognition, reaped all of the praise. F him. He did not even say, "great job guys, you pulled us through again, or anything. Not even the silly pizza parties. No appreciation was shown. Once we picked up on that, we stopped going out of our way, just to receive simple appreciation. Needless to say, the awards stopped coming in. Soon, he was canned. I smiled :)
