Week Nine of CSR 309

During the Ninth week (or is it tenth? Shoot) , we had a guest speaker that was actually hilarious. And G*&% Damnit, i hate my (and the human nature) tendency to stereotype. At first really thought Mr. Kirk Weisler was going to be a silly man. However, in the need I realized it was me who was silly for jumping to conclusions. Kirk was enlightening in his stories that related to leadership opportunities that await each and everyone of us in our daily lives. On of his lessons, that any child could learn, was a story called "The Dog Poop Initiative." There is not a better way to show the stupidity of American people than this children book that many schools, corporations, and people of leadership positions now own.

All week I was thinking about the lessons of Initiatives in this poopy book. You would not believe how retarded people around me are in terms and just "doing something about it."
Last night (when I posted this in my notebook), I was at a bar and we needed one more chair for our group. People just stood around like, "oh god what do we do? We are one chair short...we cant do this." i watched and observed. I laughed and muttered to my group about the "dog poop initiative" and asked what their issue was about going to another table to get a chair.lol. Wow. We are pathetic as a society in terms of taking initiatives.

In the future, I will always think about this book and apply it into leadership. If my pupils just simply take initiative, it will be amazing what my INC will accomplish. You will here about it as one of the top 100 companies to work for. I promise.
